CSOs across nation find out more about SABI grants

Nearly 100 local CSOs have attended information sessions held across the country to find out more about grants available through the SABI programme.

SABI launched an open call for grant applications on 11 June, 2018.  The SABI grants fund is designed to fill identified gaps in our current implementation, to complement and strengthen the work of our existing local partners, and to feed into programme learning.

The fund comprises a total pool of £490k and grants will be awarded for 12-month projects for the sum of between £15k and £25k per project (between Le 150m and Le 250m).

Local NGOs and other CSOs registered in Sierra Leone may apply.

'You are practising what you say. This is the first time a donor has come to tell us about their call for proposals, and to answer our questions.'
Hannah Bockarie, founder and country director of Commit and Act Foundation

The recent information sessions were held in Port Loko, Makeni, Bo and Kenema.

Hannah Bockarie, founder and country director of Commit and Act Foundation, attended one of the sessions. She said:’You are practising what you say. This is the first time a donor has come to tell us about their call for proposals, and to answer our questions.’

Grant proposals must be submitted online to: SABIgrants@christian-aid.org. The deadline for submissions is 10 July 2018.
